Washington State Library's collection of a photograph of the Old Greek Church, Sitka Alaska, circa 1880-1905.

This collection consists of a black & white photograph of the St. Michael's Russian Greek Church from a distance. The photograph shows Main Street in Sitka, AK. The housing on the right in the photograph may be the Russian Trading Post and Barracks. At one point the Sitka Trading Company was housed in those barracks. It is unclear when the photograph was taken. This photograph appears to have been in an album because it has 2 punched holes on the left of the page. The overall dimensions are: 6 in. (15 cm.) x 9.5 in.(25 cm.). The picture's dimensions are: 3.5 in. (9 cm.) x 5 in. (13 cm.). It is unclear the origin of the picture.

Maud P. Mitchell was born about 1883 in Oregon. She married Chas. R. Mitchell and by 1920 they were living in Chehalis, WA. Charles was an assistant cashier at the bank. Charles had become a banker by 1930. Between 1957 & 1958 Charles passed away. And Maud passed away on 29 May 1960 in Chehalis, WA.
